I went for the intuos 4 (large) but I think the medium would have sufficed...I dont have any experience with the bamboo series but I know industry professionals get by with them. Would love a Cintiq but I dont have £1500 :D I should think the bamboo should do you fine for a couple of years until youve really got to grips with digital painting...

The intuos is waaaaaaay too expensive :D
